    About CUET

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) was introduced from the year 2022 for admission into all Undergraduate (UG) Programs in all Central Universities. CUET provides a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from rural and other remote areas and help establish a better connection with the Universities. A single examination will enable the candidates to expand their application range for admission to various Central Universities.

Several governments, over the years, have made attempts to replace multiple entrance tests with a single one to reduce the burden on higher education aspirants. The answer to their rigorous search was ultimately found in 2022 with introduction of CUET(UG).

CUET(UG) is a revamped version of CUCET and it’s now compulsory for all central universities to adopt it. This has come after the announcement of the new National Education Policy (NEP), which advocates the need for an entrance test for university admissions. With CUET(UG), sky-high cut-off marks will be a thing of the past.

The introduction of CUET(UG) has helped to standardize the admission process across all central universities, making it more transparent and efficient. CUET has transformed the higher education landscape in India by providing equal opportunities to students from all corners of the country. It has helped to eliminate the biases and inconsistencies that were prevalent in the previous admission process and has ensured a fair and inclusive admission process for all students.
